The Event Team is one of the five teams that make up TPG. This team is responsible for planning and managing events held at Taki Plaza. It handles some of TPG’s largest-scale projects and plays a central, flagship role within the organization.
The Event Team is involved in every step of event organization at Taki Plaza,
from brainstorming ideas and preparing in advance to managing operations on the day of the event.
Depending on the nature of the event, we also collaborate with various clubs and student organizations
across the university, allowing members to develop strong communication skills.
This academic year, following last year’s activities, we organized
Wakabasai (a welcome event for new students),
Takimatsuri (an international exchange event themed around Japanese festival culture),
and a board game café booth at the university festival.

Every April, we hold a welcome party for new members, and after each major event,
we also organize after-parties where everyone—regardless of year—comes together and has a great time.
During the summer vacation, we stay active by taking on escape room challenges together
or trying out new games at board game cafés.
While our regular meetings are focused and productive, many members say that the real fun begins afterward!
It’s not uncommon for us to gather around board games after meetings and end up playing late into the night.
From strategy games like Werewolf and Catan to party games, we enjoy a wide variety of genres together.
